Workforce Development Workgroup

7 CEDP partners collectively use training and mentorship approaches unique to their neighborhoods to remove barriers to employment and develop the human and social capital for residents across Fresno.

Fresno’s Workforce Ecosystem

Residents across the City and County of Fresno face persistent barriers to sustainable employment and access to career pathways that lead to upward mobility. This includes a lack of childcare, lack of transportation, unaffordable housing options, and previous justice involvement.

This is evident in Fresno’s historically under-invested neighborhoods, where the CEDP Workforce Development Workgroup expands access to workforce training programs.

These challenges are highlighted in recent data from the City and County of Fresno.
